Privacy Policy

At Southdown House Software, we respect the privacy of our visitors and are committed to preserving your online safety by preserving your privacy at anytime you visit or communicate with our site or our office.


Cookies are small text files that are placed on your device (incl. computers, tablets or mobile devices) by websites that you visit.  They are widely used in order to make websites work, or work more efficiently, as well as to provide information to the owners of the site.  Southdown House Software Ltd. use cookies to improve the usability of our site, as well as to collect usage information.  Cookies make our site better for you, and also better for us.

We store a Session cookie to enhance our functionality, named "Tango_UserReference".  This cookie expires when your browser is closed.

We store just a single piece of cookie information relating to user privacy, specifically we store your email address to enhance future visits, by allowing us to present you with pre-filled forms on our site when you return to any Contact or Feedback form.  This cookie is named "cvEmail", and is only stored if a user specifically indicates they would like their details stored for future use (OPT-IN).  That option is turned Off by default.  You may remove this cookie either by using that functionality presented by your browser (see below), or by unchecking the option to store your details on a subsequent use of our Contact form.

Our default consent policy is OPT-IN.  We only store your website details if you specifically choose to allow that, and our default option is to not store details.  Similarly, the checkbox to join our newsletter also defaults to Off.

Passwords & Sensitive Information

Southdown House Software Ltd. do not hold any password or sensitive information about our customers.  We do not hold any information relating to children/minors.

Information Sharing

Any data that we share is on the basis that anyone to whom we pass it protects it in the same way we would and in accordance with applicable laws.

Customer who purchase products from Southdown House Software Ltd. will have the details of that purchase shared with our partner Actian Corporation, in the form of a monthly Sales Out report.  This report is sent during the calendar month following the date of purchase.  Only customers with activity during that period are included.  Data that is shared includes customer contact names, addresses and contact telephone numbers and is not anonymised.  That data is then subject to Actian Corporation's Privacy Policy.

Information Disclosure & Removal

At any time, you may request details of what information is held about your company, or you as an individual.  You may also request that Southdown House Software Ltd. remove any/all information held about you personally, or about your company.  All Information Disclosure & Removal requests must be made in writing to our office (see our Contact page for details), marked for the attention of our Data Protection Officer.
